The recent weeks of Covid-19 has given many of us new practises, new insights and new ways to look at what is normal. To many this has been in particular evident when it comes to how we deal with and relate to technology. In times of change there are some people that are faster than others to act and react, the Entrepreneurs. These are the people that are early and fast, even if not always right. But always worth listening to, to learn about what is around the corner.
Since we have the fortune to meet a lot of entrepreneurs we decided to reach out and to some of them and ask for some advise. What is that new app you started using? What is that feature you never previously felt was important? What implications for IRL life did new technology habits have?
As a small contribution to quarantine life, we decided to share some of these entrepreneurial best covid-digital-practises, for example:
Chris, Founder of Bookatable, taught us about the importance of not using video conferencing, he coined and tough us Management by Calling Around. "In times of constant video conferences you need a break and just have chat over the phone, that creates a different kind of bond than using video", Chris explained. Full post here.
Nima, serial entrepreneur, showed us the Slack hack his team has build, ”Healthy Reminders”. With help from this hack, the team at his company AlexisHR makes sure they stand up and move physically twice a day. Full post here.
Ourselves we have fell in love with the whiteboard function in Zoom. We never understood until now how much we missed visualizing thoughts and being able to share it in real time, here is a video introducing how it works.
Stated tuned for some more stories over the next weeks. And if you have your own example or story, please reach out to us and we are happy to share.
